Hi there! I’m Macy, and I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in Forensic and Legal Psychology at Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia. I expect to complete the program in June of 2026. I graduated from the University of Toronto Mississauga with High Distinction, obtaining my Honours Bachelor of Science degree with a specialization in Forensic Psychology.I cultivated my research and field skills through education and experiential opportunities both at the University of Toronto Mississauga and in the criminal justice system. In my final year of my undergraduate degree, I partook in a Cooperative Education Program at Bellan Law in Orangeville, Ontario, which provided me with a wide array of practical skills, including client communication, statement transcriptions, and court etiquette. Additionally, I completed several courses that strengthened my research and data analysis, including "PSY309: Experimental Design and Theory" and "PSY329: Social/Personality Laboratory." These courses provided me with essential laboratory skills including literature review preparation, research design formulation, R programming language, and jamovi.After completing my postsecondary education, I am interested in providing consultations either for correctional facilities or to law enforcement in optimizing their policing strategies. Although I have yet to decide which realm of the criminal justice system I would specifically like to contribute to, I believe that forensic psychology is an ongoing necessity for all.Let's connect and explore the field of forensic psychology together whilst I continue along my postsecondary education journey!
