Algorithmic geographical map editing.

I've been working with early stage ecommerce/marketing startups to plan and build their technical infrastructure.Some things I've done:* Designed and Implemented scalable infrastructure for website with 1M+ unique visitors a month* Ground-up build of an e-commerce site for a medical device startup.I've been getting my hands dirty with: AWS, PHP, HTML/JS/CSS, some DevOps: mostly Chef / OpsWorks though some Docker (and it was awesome).

* Built recommendation engine in Apache Spark* Learned some NLP to use web page content as an input to recommendation engine.* Converted existing EMR infrastructure to Spark Streaming* Scala, PHP, Spark Streaming, SparkML, AWSSome knowledge highlights: * Logistic regression's are amazing * Feature vectors are hard to normalize sometimes * Bandit algorithms are wicked optimizers * Real-time data infrastructure is more of a core tenant than just a technical choice * NLP is messy

I worked mostly with HBase, MapReduce, Puppet, lot's of Scala.
