Controller in the Network Operation Centre (NOC), London, UK.My responsibility is to maintain and monitor the network for Inmarsat’s satellites in all ocean regions, for services such as Maritime Distress and Safety Services, Aero, BGAN, GSPS and Global Express. We ensure the continued and reliable operation of the network, by supervising the network operations, co-ordinating network activities and taking actions as necessary to meet the network availability and service quality objectives. I was involved in the I6 launch in February 2023, working along side SpaceX for the launch. And I worked with ABU Aero during the World Cup 2022 to ensure live stream coverage on aircraft. Written legally required reports related to contingencies/ outages/ issues within the network. Daily reports created for company updates in regards to any issues seen within the network. 24/7 shift pattern on-site, 12 hours per shift, with continuous monitoring.
