I’m a communications specialist for MTSU News and Media Relations. I write news releases for both web and media advisories covering the MTSU campus community, primarily on the College of Education, MTSU Police, and Graduate Studies. Additionally, I use Photoshop and Canva to edit photos and create graphics as well as creating and scheduling social media posts for MTSU's main accounts.

In this role, I managed the social media staff by choosing what to post, when to post, and what content performs the best. I wrote copy for the posts, tracked analytics, and came up with ideas for content by following trends and performance data. I was on the editorial staff, so I attended those meetings as well as all other staff meetings. My communication with the social media team was through Slack and text.
