I have been responsible for creating and sharing LinkedIn posts from Stephen Key, inventRight, and Inventors Groups of America since 2014. Since 2008, I have helped him publish more than 1,000 articles about entrepreneurship, inventing, and the licensing business model online. Our writing regularly appears in Forbes, Inc., and Entrepreneur. The Center for Intellectual Property Understanding (CIPU) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to increasing awareness of intellectual property and its impact on peoples’ lives.CIPU promotes good IP behaviors through education and outreach. It tracks attitudes towards patents, trademarks and copyrights, and trade secrets, and seeks to dispel misinformation and provide a framework for how IP facilitates solutions, promotes competition and creates jobs.

I research, pitch, book, market, and interview monthly guest experts for the largest inventors group online. Typically about 200 inventors attend our free meetings live.

I co-created and helped administer the first and only undergraduate course devoted to product licensing. "How to Launch a Product Without Starting a Business" is a 10-unit online-only course for the University of Newcastle in Australia that teaches students how to license their ideas for new products, including how to write an effective provisional patent application.

As a freelance reporter based in Oakland, my reporting appeared in the East Bay Express, San Francisco Chronicle, CALIFORNIA magazine, and the website Civil Eats.I began writing for my local paper, The Modesto Bee, in high school and was trained at The Daily Californian, UC Berkeley’s student newspaper.
