A lifelong love of people and culture combined with a passion for data and science has landed me in the data and development sector of non-profit. The last few years of my professional life have consisted mostly of compiling long spreadsheets of client information and then turning them into insightful narratives. My favorite moments are when I know my data will help bring more resources to those who need it. I also like when I can surprise local leaders with new facts about their community. My most recent adventure has been in grant writing, a practice that is best supported by strong data. Through my work with non-profits, I have developed an understanding of the systems that work to solve our most serious social problems. I have also gained abundant knowledge of resource development, grant funding, and non-profit management. My first love will always be writing, and I utilize this skill in my personal and professional life. When I'm not putting together in-depth data reports, I enjoy writing about travel, books, and other media.
