Advocate, collaborator, realtor, and communicator, with more than 20 years of working in sustainable energy. I currently serve as a realtor, connecting buyers and sellers for residential and commercial real estate transactions in central New Hampshire. As the sole employee of the New Hampshire Sustainable Energy Association–now Clean Energy NH–I worked closely with the board and grew the organization so it could fulfill its mission to lead NH’s clean energy transition. I have both contributed to and led campfire board meetings for the local climbers’ association, and regional non-profit strategic planning sessions, served as the vice-chair of my statewide electric co-op, and was elected to the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Board of Directors, which serves 900 electric co-ops representing over 42 million people.In 2011, I was part of a team that received a two-year federal grant to make local homes and businesses more energy efficient. What started as a scrappy group of fellow energy-hype colleagues became local monthly meetings of the Plymouth Better Buildings program energy advisors committee where I led consensus-building with hours of hard conversations, strategic planning, patience, and care. Our program was successful and many of our “lessons learned” are used today in the Department of Energy’s federal Better Buildings program.
