► In 2017, I was selected to lead the first year of our two year leadership program. This program is designed to build strong, independent leaders that will eventually be our future staff. Every cabin counselor has gone through our leadership program. My role in the this position included:◼︎ Trained, advised and evaluated 179 young women over whole summer◼︎ Created 4 unique schedules for 2-week periods filled with off campus trips, leadershipactivities, and regular camp activities◼︎ Organized and planned trips off campus taking into account financial restrictions◼︎ Collaborated with 5 co-counselors to create and plan out schedule, write formalevaluations, and give recommendations of those we believe should continue into the 2ndyear of leadership program.► In 2017, I worked closely alongside the Director to create a personal internship. This gave me more access to the behind the scenes of how camp runs. ► In 2018, I was selected to lead the 2nd year of our leadership program. I expanded upon skills developed in 2017, as well as more closely advised our program participants to develop their leadership skills.

YMCA Camp Huckins has a long standing tradition of providing young people opportunities to become more confident, responsible, and to develop a strong foundation of leadership skills that are transferable to many aspects of life. ► From 2014 to 2016, I supervised, lived, and cared for 120 different 12-year-old girls. I coordinated and instructed activities such as arts and crafts, swimming, sports, archery, and ropes course on a daily basis. ► During the 2016 season, in addition to these responsibilities I trained, advised, evaluated, and worked alongside 9 counselors-in-training in my cabin. I provided verbal and written feedback to strengthen and develop their leadership skills. I was also awarded the Leadership Award in 2016 for exceptional service and devotion to our leadership program.
