As an Off-desk Assistant, I implemented different systems of filing and meticulously assured various media were properly labeled. I had to understand the library’s layout, online systems, procedures, audio equipment, etc in order to help any patron’s needs or questions. I also performed all of the duties of those working behind the desk when needed (charging out books, scores, and media; keeping track of all patrons and their needs, etc).

As a part of a teaching team of three with a head teacher and another teaching assistant, I helped teach an intensive curriculum a classroom of 20 rising high school juniors and seniors for nine weeks at Prudential in the summer of 2015 in Girls Who Code's third year and at NJIT with Verizon in the summer of 2016.By the end of each summer, we successfully equipped girls who had little-to-no prior computer science with various hard and soft skills, including: ➩ Programming Languages: [ ➫ Scratch ➫ Python ➫ Javascript ➫ C++ ➫ HTML & CSS ]➩ Topics in Computer Science: [ ➫ Sorting Algorithms ➫ Data structures ➫ etc. ]➩ Public Speaking➩ Self-confidence
