She consistently met and exceeded monthly targets, and worked with customers to ensure successful adoption of the platform. On-site and teleconference product demonstrations were critical aspects of her day to day role.

The Carbon Market Institute is an independent organisation aimed at helping Australian businesses meet the challenges and opportunities of the dynamic carbon markets. Madiha was involved as a volunteer in the operations of the 2015 Australian Emissions Reduction Summit held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The summit involved interaction between national and international leaders from academia, governments, and business for knowledge exchange and commerce.

Curtain Consulting provides focused public policy development consulting to client organizations. Madiha engaged in a community affairs initiative to analyze the job types and salary ranges of immigrants from Vanuatu, Samoa, Fiji, and Tuvalu. Specifically, she utilized data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) to develop a model in Excel that provided a summarized view how job types of immigrants from each of these countries varied based on their level of education. It also modeled how these job types evolved with time. The project was undertaken to help develop a new program with the Australian government aimed at skilling the youth of Pacific countries.

Duane Morris Government Strategies is a boutique firm providing services to private enterprises and local governments interested in acquiring grants from the US federal government. Madiha was an associate account manager for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She developed a cost benefit analysis for the commonwealth on investment options that would maximize economic growth through the Information Communications and Technology (ICT) sector.

Greater Pittsburgh Area

GTECH is a successful start-up company aimed at providing a breadth of sustainable, energy efficient solutions for Southwestern Pennsylvania. These solutions focus on reclaiming and developing misused/vacant city spaces and providing insight to small businesses and communities about the benefits of adopting environmentally efficient practices. Madiha developed a feasibility report on the prospects of vocational training and certification programs for Green Jobs in the Landscaping industry for Southwestern Pennsylvania. In due course, she met with industry leaders to create an incentivized platform for workers to transition from traditional methods to more sustainable practices.

The commission was established as an overseeing and planning body, as part of the Prime Minister’s initiative on skilled labour and job growth. Madiha conducted an analysis of existing training programs, infrastructure/facilities of training centers and the employability of their graduates in the market. To increase employability, she initiated partnerships with leading private enterprises in the services industry to develop public-private partnerships. Madiha developed a graphical tool to clarify these findings and presented the results to the Education Minister of Pakistan.

Citibank is one of the world’s leading international banks. It is also the largest operating foreign bank in Pakistan. Madiha’s task during this internship was to create a strategy for market research and integrated marketing communications. The goal was to assess the feasibility of opening a new branch in the city centre. Madiha undertook a three-pronged research methodology, taking consumers, competitors and brand labeling into account. We presented our findings in a report for Citibank’s commercial banking officers.
