I am a University of Tennessee graduate with a Bachelors of Health and Human Sciences, having studied Child and Family Studies with a concentration in Community Outreach as my major and Psychology as my minor. I currently work at the University of Tennessee’s Tickle College of Engineering, where I am the Peer Learning and Leadership Coordinator. I manage the college’s Tutoring Center as well as its Peer Learning Assistants, and work closely with faculty to determine which courses have the highest need for tutoring. I also coordinate the Engineering Living and Learning Community, where I lead upperclassmen who live in the dorm in mentoring freshman and planning events on various committees. I work closely with Engineering Fundamentals faculty in order to provide well rounded care for the engineering students. I worked for WinShape Camps the entire duration of my college career, where I served as a Camp Counselor, Campus Representative, Curriculum Writer, Office Director, and ultimately a Camp Director. Upon graduating, I began working at the Emerald Youth Foundation. I have served as a JustLead Coordinator at two different locations and as a JustLead Director to launch a brand new program. As Director, I lead an after-school program for urban youth and worked closely with church leadership to empower and equip the congregation to serve as well. I then served as the Student & Family Engagement Director, where I planned and managed the programming for the organization’s camps and network events, distributed resources for families in need, assisted in executing internal transfers of students and their families, and lead the organization’s Christmas Store, which is a Christmas assistance program that serves over 300 kids and 100 families annually. I also worked on data analysis projects to determine potential areas of growth, retention, and comprehensive engagement for students. I am experienced in management, administration, team development, event planning, hospitality, and high-stress work environments.
