Hello, I am a PhD student with a passion for research. I am a current student at Aarhus University and I recently obtained my Masters in Molecular Biology at the University of Gothenburg. During the course of my academic career, I also managed to accrue nearly 10 years of work experience. Currently, I still continue my clinical lab research through collaborations at Aarhus University, University of Gothenburg and UC San Diego. I worked remotely for BD Diagnostics as a Technical Specialist. Before BD, I worked as a research technician in R&D at Cue Health in San Diego, CA.I began my Industry experience at Curative Inc where I joined as a Laboratory technician in the PCR department to aid in analysis work during the COVID-19 pandemic. I then traveled to our sister laboratory to help establish their new PCR department, and shortly after became a laboratory shift lead, overseeing the day to day operations. Finally, I was promoted to Assistant PCR department manager and oversaw a team of 30 staff members and reported directly to the laboratory director. Outside of my science background, I worked in the service industry at Olive Garden as restaurant hostess during my undergraduate career, where I learned valuable professional skills such as food service, customer satisfaction, and resource management. Prior to this opportunity, I worked as an Entertainment Performer at the Walt Disneyland Resort for 4 years, where I entertained hundreds of both domestic and international guest on a daily basis. Academically, I have had the pleasure to travel abroad during my summer vacations to the University of Gothenburg as a summer research intern in a biomedical research lab, at the Wallenberg laboratory facilities. This experience was paired with a summer research program through UCSD where I worked in the Lange Laboratory as a summer research assistant in various projects.In both my academic and professional life, I have been reviewed by professors, supervisors and upper management as an efficient problem solver with a strong work ethic. I hope to leverage my skillset through various new roles.
