As of May 2024, I will have earned my M.Ed./Ed.S. in School Counseling with an added track to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Our CACREP-accredited program here at James Madison University has provided me with rigorous coursework, supervision from exceptional faculty members, and unique field experiences. Through my experiences, I have recognized that my approach to school counseling is trauma-informed, person-centered, and solution-focused. My strong voice and leadership skills allow me to strongly advocate for students and provide valuable input to interdisciplinary meetings. Building rapport with students has also been a strength of mine because of my warmth, openness, shared experiences, and appropriate use of humor.
