The Emotion and Empathy Lab is working on generating new insights about empathy and emotion, focusing on biological and behavioral correlates and consequences of social interactions under Dr. Christopher Oveis. Assisted in studying the physiological consequences of rejection in work or academic settings by running in-person studies with teens and adults, monitoring physiological data, and processing video data for behavioral analysis.

The 4D Cell Biology Lab investigates the fundamentals of mitochondrial dynamics and the role of mitochondria in neurological diseases in four dimensions (4D). Our goal is to develop a new generation of drugs based on mitochondria.Assisted Dr. Johannes Schoeneberg in research and microscopy by performing various lab techniques (stem cell culture, Western Blot, PCR, CRISPR Genome Editing). Also took on administrative and lab managing duties such as placing PO's, inventorying, and onboarding.

Provided excellent customer service and administrative support to students, staff, and visitors. Assisted in data entry, scheduling, community outreach, and basic office duties.

Worked with physical, occupational and speech therapists who see patients with a wide range of diagnoses and injuries, including: Parkinson’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, Brain tumors, Brain injury, Stroke, Spinal cord injuries, Balance problems, history of falls, Vestibular disorders, other neurological and orthopedic disorders.Assisted the therapist during their treatment session and provided relevant and minimal patient care.

- Hosted one-on-one, in-person tutoring sessions for elementary and middle school students in English, Math, Science, and History.- Organized 2-hour, after-school tutoring sessions for underclassmen in Biology, Calculus, Psychology, and Spanish; taught a total of 14 different students over 3 years.- Developed individual lesson plans to help each student firmly grasp concepts through practice problems, quizzes, and revising previous work.- Raised 4 students’ grades from a C to an A and ensured all students got a 4 or above on their AP exams.

- Hosted 37 biweekly seminars for students interested in cognitive science and its applications in the real world with over 3o people in attendance each week.- Coordinated with related clubs and professionals in the field to organize presentations, activities, panels, and meetings for the cognitive science community.

- Developed and launched 4 new menu items that bolstered sales by 22%.- Formulated an updated training protocol for new employees to efficiently implement company policies & procedures.- Generated monthly Excel reports on expenses, sales, and wages to optimize the store’s budget.
