About Madison Ielase
As a Clinical Fellow in Speech-Language Pathology, I am deeply passionate about working with the pediatric population. My experience spans various settings, including school and outpatient settings, where I have had the opportunity to support children with a range of diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, expressive-receptive language disorder, articulation/phonological disorder, dysarthria, hearing impairments, and dysphagia. My commitment to improving the communication abilities and overall quality of life for these children drives my dedication to this field. Through evidence-based practices and a compassionate approach, I aim to make a meaningful impact in the lives of the families I serve. Awarded the David and Miriam Neiman and Manfred Lottle Buchsbaum Scholarship in September 2022.This scholarship is warded to students who show outstanding promise for graduate program admission, scholarship and or research.

Educated the client and caregivers about oral hygiene, compensatory, and restorative strategies in addition to providing a weekly exercise plan to complete outside of sessions. Assessed client using the Consensus Auditory-Perceptual Evaluation (CAPE-V), behavioral measures, and acoustic measures using Praat. Collected data using the Gugging Swallowing Screen (GUSS) and Functional Communication Profile-Revised (FCP-R).Completed an Oral Mechanism and Cranial Nerve Examination using a University form.
