Starting off in a Clinical Lab setting, I worked with CAP-certified, FDA/DEA licensed, and highly educated individuals. I worked with UMC Health system as a part time employee for two and a half years, and I loved every second! I processed specimens, maintained records of financial and insurance information, and interacted with patients, providers, and allied health professionals in person and over the phone.While I was with UMC, I chose to seek another part-time position to reach full-time status. I was offered a position at Nike, where I was able to interact with a more technical and financial side of the consumerism spectrum. Here I had to tap into sales, marketing, and consumer interaction to make sure I was hitting links and getting the sales I needed to be one of the top performers. Soon afterwards I moved to the back of the facility, where I helped auditing product and stockroom space, loss control and prevention, and maintained a stockroom organizer and planner. In July of 2023, I received a full-time offer from a subsidiary of Meherrin, Severn Peanut, to work as a Quality Assurance Technician. Upon this offer being presented, I submitted my resignations at both positions to obtain full-time work. Here I do internal and external auditing, documentation, compliance documentation, microbial testing, and interaction with customers and third-party vendors. In August of 2022 I took a career break and attended/graduated a 10 week Officer Candidate School course, United States Marine Corps. Here I was able to learn about not just physical but mental and moral strength, and how to apply these while working under pressure. As far as education goes, I have graduated with my A.S. in General Studies from Grayson College back in 2020. I am currently enrolled in Texas Tech and in my last semester to receive my B.S. in University Studies. For my B.S., I chose to concentrate in Microbiology, Computer Science and Applications, and Healthcare Organization. As such, I have over 60 hours of collegiate experience in all three of these areas, with a total of 140 hours to round my college career. This major has an emphasis on integrative studies, which are imperative where the discussion of three or more intertwining topics is to be covered--such as any workplace.
