After the realization set in that I will not be a surgeon on Grey’s Anatomy, I was lucky enough to discover my passion for tourism, marketing and events. Working in tourism there’s never a dull moment. I'm very ambitious and prepared to work hard to get to where I want to be, wherever that may be. I love learning and trying new things and am always working on self-improvement.I had the privilege of working as the Events Specialist for Peller Estates, Trius Winery and Thirty Bench Wine Makers. This allowed me to grow my event knowledge and learn to juggle multiple high-profile events at a time. I then was given the incredible opportunity to work for Niagara College covering a maternity leave as the Student Experience Coordinator. This was an amazing journey coordinating and executing a different bread of events, ranging from Orientation to Student Appreciation Day to the NC Volunteer and Leadership Awards. This role came with all new challenges and was very difficult to leave. Now, I am back in the wine industry and I couldn't be happier. I now manage the Events Department for one of the largest winery companies in Canada. I manage the biggest winery events in the Niagara Region and coordinate offsite events for all 4 of our Niagara properties. I have a keen interest in Marketing and Communications as well as Business Administration so I spend time expanding my knowledge in those areas.When I’m not planning the biggest and best events in Wine Country, I’m working on my lectures, quizzes, assignments or marking for my part-time teaching position within the School of Hospitality, Tourism & Sport at Niagara College. Other than that, I’m usually hanging out with my German Shepard/Australian Shepard mix, Otis, who loves to run and play fetch. I love playing sports and adventure so I try to travel as much as I can and hike all the hot spots in Niagara. I truly enjoy the fast paced and dynamic environment of working in tourism and the variety of people I’m able to meet and work with. Every day is something different; I love the prioritization and coordination that comes along with that. I look forward to connecting with you!
