I taught reading skills of "reading comprehension", "phonics", "site word recognition", "identifying the main idea" and "drawing conclusions" in small groups, of students in grades (2 through 6). I came out of retirement, at the request of a friend who was the Principal of Washington Elem School, to fulfill this enjoyable assignment!

I supervised (9) recent college graduates, in their role as College Advisers, in St. Louis area high schools. Other responsibilities are inclusive of: Plan, coordinate and facilitate bi-monthly cluster meetings; along with assisting in planning training activities, retreats and workshops, as part of the Missouri College Advising Corps Leadership Team.

Maintained grades, records, and credits for over (300) Senior High School students. Supervised student office workers throughout the entire school campus. Held individual and group counseling sessions with students; and on occasion with their families. Career counseling and planning with students. Assisted students with registering for the (ACT) and (SAT) tests. Wrote letters of recommendation for students, to colleges and universities and/or for employment.

I was responsible for "all" instruction within the entire school.Checked teacher lesson plan books for accuracy of objectives, taught demo lessons for teachers. Made observations to assist in prepping teachers for their evaluations, by the school principal. I also assisted the school principal with the daily operations of managing the school; along with other responsiblities as deemed necessary by the school principal.

Managed Saturday Detention School for approximately (60) elementary school students. There were 3 Teachers and a Parent Liason Assistant that I also supervised in this program.
