Using Ionic to develop IOS/Android Apps with strong Salesforce integration

Working at concept2.com.br new web developing it as a SPA where the frontend can be deployed in any web host, who serve static files, and the backend is an Python Flask API REST.

I worked with truBrain.com team helping then solve some problems in their user interface with AngularJS and to build an end to end tests to ensure their order process could be improved without breaking the process.I worked with Heroku too as theirs Cloud Computing platform, but this was not my first time with it. I had already worked with Heroku in some of my own projects.

I was senior software developer at Loja Integrada (http://www.lojaintegrada.com.br an e-commerce plataform for small and medium business), working with Python, Django and Flask on creating a SaaS extructure.I developed the Payment Management System, open source (https://github.com/lojaintegrada/LI-Pagador) using the most common payments gateways in Brazil (PagSeguro, MercadoPago and etc). The system uses a modular architecture where a central software defines all actions that all payments methods should take and a pluggable model allowing that each specific need in each payment method can be implemented in another package (Ex.: https://github.com/lojaintegrada/LI-Pagador-PagSeguro).The challenge is: not to get glued on a technology, but get the best of it in union with the best of others. For example, to use the Django ORM in an app Flask or decouple the Django´s view with the Django´s repository model.This kind of reformulation makes me think in DDD (Domain Driven Design) and in how to implement in Python things like repository, services, data access object, dependency injection and other Java and .Net common design patterns.All of Loja Integrada´s infrastructure is in the AWS, which was a great opportunity to work with Cloud Computing Admin, from machine provision (OpsWorks), to deployment (CodeDeploy). At the end of my time with Loja Integrada, we had 7 REST Api talking with each other through HTTP requests. This was an opportunity to see an idea that I worked, back in 2007, but was not succeeded because Platform as Service performances, like AWS, wasn’t so good in these times.

I was a senior developer at Globo.com. For a while, I worked directly with the Portal G1, helping in the change from the old publishing system (Based on Vignette 6.0) to one developed in Django/Python, by the company itself.Because of the success with this experience, I became part of this new platform’s development team, responsible for providing the base where every other GCom products would produce their specific platform. It was a great opportunity to learn Python and to enhance my knowledge of JavaScript and in the use of JQuery.I had a short contact (About 6 months) with a product developed in Ruby. I really liked the language and the structure that it provides, though Python, in my opinion, is better. Actually, all languages which I’ve already worked are good, and I still want to learn many others (Erlang and Go, for example).Another high spot in my career was the experience with the 2010 elections. I was directly involved in the development of the G1 site that accompanied the voting results. I learned a lot with the challenge of showing a lot of information, in the same screen, without giving an unpleasant experience for the user.I worked with the company’s semantic data team, and could learn about triplestore and it’s uses. This increased my horizons in terms of data storage and usage.I was part of the team that had the mission to enhance the publishing platform’s administration screen use quality. A work that demanded from me, solid knowledge in JavaScript, in the use of MVC frameworks to JS (Can.JS, in our case), and in the adventure of building a Single Page Application.Finally, I helped in the development of a command line tool to schedule, execute and show load tests in a simple way, with the objective of finding bottlenecks in the code during the development. It was a good opportunity to learn about Linux Container using docker.
