Act as the contact point for all logistics within NeurotechUofT. Oversee funding and timelines to ensure the goals and visions of the club are met and that we are a strong competitor in the NeuroTechX competitions.

Collaborate with the other copresidents to bring neurotechnology to more students at the University of Toronto. This includes leading and teaching workshops and troubleshooting EEG data acquisition and signal processing problems before presenting them to other students to try. I teach myself before I teach other students about the skills necessary for neurotechnology.

Innovate neurotechnology, such as our own EEG headset and mind-controlled keyboard, utilizing the interdisciplinary nature of electrical engineering, ML, neuroscience, and more.Coordinate ML, neuroscience, and computer science mentors by leading workshop sessions, creating new workshop content, updating old content, and keeping GitHub material/syllabus up-to-date.Maintain email communications with workshop students, sending weekly reminders with assigned readings.

With the Ophthalmic Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Laboratory (Wu Lab), I research the structure and growth of the eyelid and eye through the new field of single-cell RNA sequencing. Using Satija Lab's Seurat package, 10X genomics, Chan Zuckerberg Initiative's CellXGene software, and more, my research joins the work of other researchers in discovering more about genes in relation to the development and diseased models of different structures and tissues in incredible detail. I also contribute to the collective effort of the Tabula Sapiens Project, a human transcriptome reference at the single cell resolution.

With the Translational Neural Engineering Lab, I model and analyze the EMG of patient's legs and gait using MATLAB and Python to elucidate stimulus patterns that can improve patient walking.

Drive and lead the Dry Lab team in our synthetic biology project of Oak Wilt detection using LAMP technology. This includes holding weekly team meetings and scrum meetings, organzing tasks, and facilitating discussion within the team.Researched and utilized LAMP primer design software, coded our own primer design filter with Python, collaborated with the Wet Lab team to experiment with our primer designs in the wetlab and facilitate an iteration process between the teams, and meticulously recorded documentation and progress for the team Wiki.In October of 2022, I will present our team’s work along with the team leads of Wet Lab, Human Practices, and Hardware, at the International Genetically Engineered Machine Jamboree at Paris.

Implement end-to-end solutions; prototype and code the Cloud Maturity Assessment and Dashboard on the Bell IT Cloud internal platform to aid the transition of Bell teams to public cloud servers. Worked on this feature from the beginning stages all the way to the production launch by brainstorming use cases, creating prototypes with Just in Mind, scheduling tasks on Jira, utilizing Javascript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Thymeleaf and more to develop the front end, leveraging MySQL to work on databases, queries, and more backend development, and used Java and Ajax to connect front and back end.

Conduct literature and document reviews, synthesize information into memos and/or reports, and provide other research admin support as needed in order to work towards implementing a Health and Sustainability undergraduate program for 40,000+ students at the University of Toronto St. George campus.

With the Affective Science and Culture Lab, conduct basic fNIRS data analysis - such as motion artifact detection and correction - on mock patients using MATLAB applications Homer3 and AtlasViewer.Transcribe, code, and run inter-reliability tests for 25+ participants (in both Mandarin and English) using Nvivo to research impacts of culture and language on emotional granularity.Recruit, screen, and schedule meetings with face actors to generate and collect facial stimuli in preparation for a research study into how people react to emotional face stimuli

With the Snyder Lab, using ImageJ, map out neurogenesis within 50+ cross sections of amygdalae to research the correlation between neurogenesis and clinical depression.
