Completed the Mind, Brain, and Behavior master's program in Psychology Research.Investigated: the role of proprioceptive feedback in the sense of agency; the neural signature of persisting beyond the point of perceived depletion; three forms of cortical binding; the perceptual and motor components of subvocalization; and various processes that modulate the urge to quit.

Provided programmatic support and technical assistance to 213 federal grant recipients including the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, Safe Schools/Healthy Students, and the Suicide Prevention Resource Center. • Developed grantee evaluation protocols; analyzed grantee budgets, products, and program effectiveness. • Prepared summary analyses to improve and inform government policy; refined ongoing data collection efforts. • Facilitated communication and collaboration amongst government agencies, grantees, and federal officers. • Assisted in the preparation and review of federal Requests for Applications. • Planned and organized annual grantee meetings. • Assisted in grantee project monitoring and closeout activities.

Provided residential services to clients diagnosed with Serious Mental Illness, training them to live independently in the community. Duties included locating housing, teaching independent living skills, coordinating recreational and social programs, providing crisis intervention, developing service plans, advocating on behalf of clients, providing budget support, providing medication management skills and medical appointment support, providing transportation, interviewing and assessing potential clients, providing documentation, teaching safety precautions, communicated with related agencies on the client’s behalf, and conducting substance abuse training.

Implemented a successful new program to treat at-risk elementary students in multiple settings, including the school, home, and center-based day treatment. Worked collaboratively with child and family clinicians and case managers to promote community adjustment and enhance the child’s functioning capacity at home and in school. During the school year, conducted individual and group therapy sessions with clients in the school, made self available to assist teachers in times of crisis, and conducted home visits with the client families. During the summer, ran a center-based Day Treatment Program, which primarily took the form of group therapy, covering issues such as trust, communication skills, empathy, identifying feelings, impulse control and anger management, problem-solving and cooperation skills, and self-esteem/self-awareness.

Responsible for 12 adolescents with mental health and behavioral issues in this 24-hour state-run mental health facility. Implemented active treatment interventions and provided counseling, therapeutic support, and school supervision.
