I began my internship with MAKE Projects in the summer of 2023. As a project coordinator intern, I play a role in supporting the execution of major construction projects such as the Vancouver General Hospital OR Renewal and the High Level Master Plan for the Sea to Sky Corridor. This internship has not only provided exposure to intricate project management processes but has also honed my skills in various areas, from technical analysis to effective communication and technology integration. I look forward to leveraging these experiences in my future endeavors in the field of project management. I have highlighted some of the key responsibilities I hold with MAKE Projects below:- Facilitate effective communication among diverse stakeholder groups, consultants, and engineers, fostering collaborative relationships.- Manage and organize meeting minutes with professionals from different backgrounds, enriching my understanding of interdisciplinary project dynamics and ensuring comprehensive documentation of discussions.- Analyze structural drawings to contribute to informed decision-making processes and project planning.- Review bids from different companies and assess ROAs (Recommendations for Award), actively participating in the vendor selection process.- Engage in MAKE Academy training modules on project management best practices and enhance my skills in scriptwriting for educational videos.- Conduct research on various project management software options, contributing to informed decision-making within the organization.- Attend site tours, gaining practical insights into on-site project dynamics and challenges.- Completed training courses for Procore, Bluebeam, Otter AI, and Indigenous Awareness Training.

During the summer of 2022 I worked as a structural engineering intern for Vancouver Coastal Health. I was working with the Facilities Project Team for the Lions Gate Hospital Redevelopment Project. As this project began in 2019, I was able to join the team during the construction phase of the project. This means that not only did this internship allow me to immerse myself in the world of project management, but I bettered my knowledge of structural engineering in a real-life application. - Provided high-level communication to stakeholder groups, consultants, architects, and engineers from different companies- Received and distributed requests for information respectively- Received and distributed submittals respectively- Communicated and organized the scheduling of multidisciplinary meetings- Tracked submittals and requests for information- Participated in site walk-throughs - Wrote responses to submittals and requests for information that clearly communicated Vancouver Coastal Health’s decision

I had a role in the VCH Vaccination Campaign from May 2021-August 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic. I worked full-time as a Program Assistant and really enjoyed the multi-disciplinary collaboration that was a core part of running an efficient and friendly vaccination service. I worked alongside community partners from WestJet, physicians, pharmacists, nurses, program assistants, and management staff. - Composed and worded process correspondence- Maintained and monitored client charts- Received and input confidential client data into a variety of health data systems- Provided support in clinical settings- Maintained various inventories of medical/clinical/program supplies- Set up filing systems- Gathered and compiled statistics- Engaged in on-going team planning and quality improvement activities- Provided administrative and clerical support- Provided technical support to clerical staff - Registered clients for vaccination
