I was responsible for a continuous improvement strategy to achieve Operational Excellence in a division with 60 employees with core focus on IT Operation and Security of mission critical systems for the financial market in Iceland. Certified by ISO-27001, PCI:DSS 3,2 ISAE3402 and SWIFT. Daily management of Data Centers, Hardware and Software in virtual environment, Network, workstations and Cyber security were amongst areas of responsibility.

Hired to reorganize and turnaround a Danish IT and Telco Company with declining revenues. With the skills and knowledge of the executive management we succeeded in our mission and successfully sold the Company four years later to TeliaSonera.

Responsible for sales and business development of a broad solution portfolio within ICT for the Enterprise and SME market in Iceland with main focus on maintaining current Customers and acquiring new ones. The team consisted of 35 professionals.

The division had 72 employees providing customers with IT services; hosting, on-site and managed services. Main areas of responsibility: • Daily management of the division• Interaction with customers and vendors• Budgeting• Responsibility of the ISO-27001 certification of the division• Responsibility of technical infrastructure of Data Centers and for SLA to Customers

Hired as assisting Managing Director of Sales- and Marketing division in Skyrr in 2002. Became Managing Director of Service Solutions, a new division at that time, and built it up from 14 employees to 50 employees four years later, quadrupling the turnover in the same period of time. Main areas of responsibility:• Responsible for sales and marketing • Building up a new division from technical and marketing standpoint • Daily management of the division• Financial responsibility of the division• Product and business development of solutions

Hired as a CFO for MAX ltd, manufacturing company of outdoor clothes. I was promoted to Managing Director and with a merger to another company, the Managing Director of Sales and Marketing. Built up export market in Europe and USA for their products. Main areas of responsibility:• Financial management and accounting management• Responsibility of daily operation• Product development in cooperation with designers, domestic and international• Negotiations with vendors and suppliers• Responsibility of sales and marketing in Iceland and in foreign markets

Heimilistaeki imported, sold and serviced various computer and technical equipment, and had a software development department as well. Customers were both from corporate market and individuals. Employees at that time in the department were approximately 30. • Daily operation of department• Logistics and purchasing and negotiation with vendors• Responsible for the retail outlet that sold the products and solutions.

Hired as Purchasing Manager. The company was the Pepsi bottler in Iceland and manufacturer of beer. Became Assisting Managing Director. Main areas of responsibility were: • Inventory and manufacturing management. • Negotiations with domestic and international suppliers and vendors.• Management of the computer systems of the company• Daily operation of the company, approximately 50 employees

Took on a job as a software programmer after graduation. Developed software applications of all sorts in multiple programming environments, from assembler 8086 to fourth generation data based orientated language. Founded a software company that became the biggest in Iceland developing business applications for PC environment. Founded another company, Tölvuvörur ltd,.that sold and serviced different computer brands and solutions for the Icelandic corporate market. Sold both companies in 1988 and took on programming of specific software application for the Fishing Industry in Iceland as well as teaching Computer Science in an Icelandic High school. .• Software development, teaching, implementation and service of business application software.• Board member in both Companies• Management of retail store, Tölvuvörur ltd.• Sale and marketing of business application ALLT, from first customer but they were more then 1.200 at peak time.
