I was part of the WWF Romania team for more than 7 years. I was recruited to help the team in creating and developing a long-term strategy for WWF`s presence in Romania, while coordinating a multi-disciplinary team and harmonizing the nature conservation activities with policy work, communications campaigns, educational programmes and fundraising. Naturally, the ultimate goal is to ensure that the work of WWF in Romania has a measurable impact on the society, as well as on the sustainable development of the country. To broaden the knowledge of our public about our issues it was necessary to increase the public profile of WWF in Romania and overall public awareness and interest on sustainability. The results of the WWF Romania office speak for themselves. Our awareness rose from 3% in 2012, to 18% in 2014, we managed to change the legislation and create a framework for the protection of all virgin forests in Romania, after gathering 100.000 supported signatures in one month, we stopped microhidro plant developments in all the protected areas. We also managed to become an important lobby/policy factors in the country, being one of the most active stakeholders in developing the new Forest Code, after we managed with the support of the public to stop 4 earlier versions of the law and force the legislators to came up with better versions. We were also the first organization to build up and support an in-house fundraising system, having more than 60% of all Romanian monthly donors supporting our organization.

Founder and publisher of one of the most important news platforms focused on sustainability and social activism.My job was to conceive the brand, the strategy and the editorial policy of the platform and also to act as editor-in-chief. We created and developed a young and motivated team of specialized journalists, while we created and assured a strategy for the financial sustainability and growth of the publication.Thinks Outside the Box was for many years the leading publication on the topic of sustainability, with over 300.000 monthly readers and received many national environmental and journalism awards
