1. One of the main duties as a network implementation engineer is to implement complex networking solutions for customers. The implementation process includes designing, configuring & installing routers/switches, testing the circuits with the provider and finally testing the traffic (applications) end to end with the customer. 2. As a implementation engineer I gained experience configuring Cisco routers, switches, Juniper M7i, M10i, the Juniper SRX 210, 240's, Netscreen 25 and SSG 5, Citrix wan optimizer, Power sentries and Modems. 3. Experience on routing protocols like BGP (includes the BGP attributes like local preference, AS path prepend), OSPF, EIGRP, RIP. 4. Experience building Route-maps, creating VRFs, Access-lists, building GRE and IPSec tunnels, setting up IP SLA tests on the routers as well as setting up QoS and HSRP on the routers based on the customer requirements. 5. Experience working on T1/DS3/OC3, DSL and Metro Ethernet circuits. 6. Document the testing, configuration scripts and preparing Visio's for the deployed network. 7. Work on customer networks spread across the globe. Migrate their existing network over Virtela MPLS cloud, testing for failover and doing scheduled network maintenances. 8. As a network engineer, I have to co-ordinate with the project managers, provisioners, NOC/SOC engineers, procurement team to successfully pull off the order.

1. Worked as part of the test team to help test their new product UCS (Universal Communication System) which will provide routing and switching capabilities, IP telephony as well as provide an interface to the satellite for routing data and voice in aircrafts.2. Duties include developing testcases, testing it manually and finally automating the testing process by writing scripts in python.3. The UCS product is being developed on Ubuntu 10.04 server. Hence one of the duties includes loading the periodic software drops on it and testing its functionalities.
