Rotational graduate scheme covering Constellation Automotive Group's diverse portfolio in 4-16 week intervals. This included spending time with; BCA UK and their subsidiary transport, operational and commercial departments; cinch; WeBuyAnyCar; and CAG's newly formed EV department. The time spent covered a range of responsibilities and covered two key themes, developing myself in a dynamic environment and supporting the business through applying my newfound skills. Here, I covered a range of projects ranging from stock consolidation to national infrastructure projects and from supporting the after-sales department at auction centres to redesigning the reporting mechanism between the business and key clients. In particular, I enjoyed the account management and commercial analytics areas whereby my relationship management and business analysis skills were able to flourish. I provided a detailed response to a key client by displaying how our competition operated in like-for-like scenarios and offered alternative solutions. Whilst with cinch, I created a process map for clients returning 'below standard' vehicles which highlighted a flaw in the reporting mechanism. This allowed the team to rebuild the returns policy and provided accurate reporting and created further accountability for losses incurred by relevant stakeholders.Overall, this diverse experience has allowed me to delve into the commercial world with practical experiences in all areas of the automotive industry including B2B and B2C sales and relationship management, operations, transport and logistics, and project management. These experiences have created a template for my development into the commercial environment and have resulted in a solid foundation of skills to further enhance my practical understanding of business and industry.
