Hello, my name is Mahek. I am a Junior at the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs majoring in Management and minoring in Entrepreneurship. I recently changed my major which was previously, neuroscience. I realized my passions were elsewhere and I was not 100% into medicine so I decided to change to what I was passionate about. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have gained valuable experience in various extracurricular activities. As the social media manager for Swagat Grocery Store, I have developed and executed digital marketing strategies that have increased customer engagement and sales. As a clinical volunteer at IU Health Hospital, I have assisted healthcare professionals in various departments, including the critical care unit, endocrinology, and oncology, and learned firsthand the importance of compassion, teamwork, and professionalism in healthcare. As a certified phlebotomy technician, I have demonstrated my ability to collect and process blood samples with accuracy and efficiency, while ensuring patient comfort and safety.I will continue to put in effort and aim for success in my future as a student at Indiana University and even after I graduate. I intend to headstart my career in a management position at a company and thereafter use my entrepreneurship skills to start a company that contributes goods or services that benefit consumers.
