As a Sr. Operations Manager with Inter Protect Marine Pvt. Ltd. I play a key role in the provision of armed security to cargo vessels transiting the HRA / West Coast of Africa.Upon being advised of a vessel requiring armed support I inform the appropriate Maritime Security Operatives (MSOs) of the task and make contact with the Master of the vessel. I ensure that the MSO's embarking a vessel have the correct flag state, cargo and visa credentials and posses the correct weapons and Kit in line with licencing requirements / restrictions. Having communicated with the appropriate agent at the port of embarkation to ensure the team are able to embark without causing delay to the vessel I will then remotely oversee the on-board test fire. While on board I am a point of contact for the personnel on board and maintain communication with the Vessel Master and our on-board personnel. In the event of an incident I ensure that the correct operational procedure is followed.Once the contracted transit is completed I liaise with the agents at the port of disembarkation ensuring that the armed operatives are either re-tasked or return home.Post transit I maintain communications with the vessel ensuring no delay has been caused and that the services provided have been satisfactory, following up if required.IPM is an India based security risk management company with a fresh approach for corporate, private and government clients.
