Managed complex commercial litigation on behalf of Company; advised on litigation and regulatory risk; participated in data breach response and advise on privacy and cybersecurity; served as liaison to Risk Management, including managing Company's relationship with CGL, MCO and D&O carriers; formulated, negotiated, and strictly managed outside counsel budgets; and navigated all aspects of the litigation process from electronic discovery through trial or alternative dispute resolution and appeal.

I have a wide range of experience handling fiduciary duty, commercial, insurance coverage and employment discrimination disputes throughout the country, including:•Served as lead directors' and officers' counsel and representing a group of 19 former directors and officers against claims of breach of fiduciary duty and fraudulent transfer in the Tribune Company adversary proceeding;•Defended minority shareholder from breach of fiduciary duty and fraud claims in Global Crossings bankruptcy;•Defended private equity firm in post-merger lawsuit alleging claims of fraud and breach of warranty; I also successfully defended other law firms from claims of legal malpractice, fraud and employment discrimination, including her representation of:•A Chicago law firm in arbitration hearing on allegations of legal malpractice and fraud, resulting in favorable post-hearing settlement; and•A large national law firm in an EEOC case alleging age discrimination, in which she deposed and defended the depositions of dozens of the firm's current and former partners.I have also worked on a broad range of other commercial litigation matters, ranging from:•Represented the Chicago Cubs in suit by the owners of rooftop businesses across from Wrigley Field, resulting in the rooftop owners agreeing to pay the Cubs a 17 percent royalty;•Represented numerous insurance companies in declaratory judgment actions involving issues of bad faith, duty to defend, trigger and allocation, resulting in favorable settlements;•Defended a consulting company against claims of race discrimination;•Prevailed in the California Appeals Court on a case which held that an insurance fee contained in catalog order form was neither illusory nor deceptive under the California Unfair Competition Law; and•Obtained summary judgment on Truth-in-Lending Act, Illinois Consumer Fraud Act, and unjust enrichment claims on behalf of financial institutions.
