Greetings! My name is Maimouna Diallo, and I identify with she/her pronouns. I am from Brooklyn, NY, and carry with me the rich legacy of being a first-generation college graduate. My roots trace back to Guinea in West Africa, an inheritance that has deeply influenced my perspectives and values.I recently graduated from Cornell University. My academic journey at the ILR School was an immersion in the multifaceted world of the social sciences. I majored in Industrial and Labor Relations and complemented it with a minor in Law & Society. This combination offered me a profound understanding of areas revolving around work, employment, and labor. The field of law captivates me. Having honed my knowledge in criminal defense litigation and labor and employment law, I consider myself knowledgeable in these domains. However, there are so many legal intricacies that I am keen on exploring!Beyond the confines of academics and professional aspirations, I am committed to causes close to my heart - women’s rights, mental health advocacy, and the overarching umbrella of Black rights. I’m enthusiastic about partnering with organizations dedicated to DEI initiatives or nonprofits echoing my convictions. Reading and cooking serve as my sanctuaries, enabling me to disconnect and rejuvenate. I'm also on a quest to form a near-perfect gym routine and embrace the therapeutic world of journaling. And oh, I can't forget to mention my two feline companions who add a touch of mischief and warmth to my life!Having recently moved to Orlando, I've embarked on a new chapter. Joining this networking platform is a step towards connecting with individuals who can guide, collaborate, and share insights as I navigate the early stages of my career and deepen my exploration in law.A little tidbit for those seeking to converse in French - Je parle français! And if there's one belief that has been my guiding light, it's that every single moment is a learning experience.Thank you for taking the time to read my about me section, and please do not hesitate to reach out :)
