Mainard Gallagher is the Smart City Coordinator for Dublin City Council. His goal is to improve services and infrastructure using technology to make a better, smarter Dublin City. He manages pilots, research projects, SBIR(Small Business Innovation Research) projects, Public Procurment of Innovative Solutions(PPI) and Pre-Commerical Procurment (PCP).Mainard is also the Social Media and Digital Marketing Coordinator for Smart Dublin. He is the curator of www.smartdublin.ie and Smart Dublin social media channels. He monitors online activity and tracks the analytics of social media influence. He likes to dabble in design and creative projects. He also does the finance in his spare time.As Dublinked’s Data Officer for Dublin City, he maintains data flows between Dublin City Council departments and www.dublinked.ie Ckan data portal. Mainard is involved with #SmartImpact an EU URBACT project to promote Smart Cities within Dublin and Europe.Mainard came from the Local Enterprise Office Dublin City (Formally Dublin City Enterprise Board) and has 9 years experience in SME development, from one to one business advice to grant assessment and training.Mainard loves to problem solve and to make things real, especially if technology is the key player.
