As a project-manager/developer at DairyNZ, I worked with farmers, rural professionals, researchers, and communication staff successfully promoting farm system changes to meet environmental regulations, use homegrown feed effectively and staying profitable. DairyNZ is the industry organisation that represents all New Zealand dairy farmers and invests in practical on-farm tools, science, resources and support and advocacy to ensure farmers have a profitable, sustainable, and competitive future. I have a personal interest in building farmer resilience, by introducing farmers to the concept of wellbeing and increasing farmer awareness of mental and physical health. When leading DairyNZs Farmer wellbeing project, the above was achieved by; delivering farmer tailored wellbeing workshops, organising Health Pitstops at Farm Source stores and developed social media promotions.

My key responsibilities, were setting research priorities through regular consultation with industry stakeholders, contracting, managing and successfully delivering research projects, managing the annual research budgets and representing B+LNZ on Industry Advisory Groups.

In this role, I managed meeting contracted targets, developed and maintained stakeholder relationships from regional and district councils, research organisations, government departments and NGOs with external organisations. Oversaw the team writing business cases for new covenants and reported quarterly directly to the QEII Board.
