Infrastructure Specialist
Current· Support and manage IT infrastructure for the Canadian office regions.· Working within an Agile framework – Creating sprints, epics/stories and backlog items for pro-active planning and implementation (in JIRA).· Lead migrating on-prem servers to AWS including data migration and provision servers. · Managing EC2 instances, making changes via YAML with Visual Studio (Github).· Involved in office move projects – planning, hardware purchases, circuit installations and participate onsite installations.· Supported HP servers, Dell/EMC VNXe storage arrays, Cisco based switches, routers, APs and Video Conference equipment (Cisco Telepresence and Poly with Skype/Teams).· Perform quarterly vulnerability scans and provide findings to web-based applications (via Rapid7).· Involved with Cybersecurity assessments to gain certification for OSFI. · Provide Printer and Copier support with Equitrac print management software. Including proximity cards for users.· Created PowerShell scripts involving end-user settings with application packages, reporting and log analysis.· Supported and administrated on-prem and DC site servers, operating on Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, physical or virtual (VMware's ESXi 6.0).· Provided 3rd level support for our local Help Desk team. Office365, applications, conference/meeting room AV, networking infrastructure.· Updated and maintained system diagrams, assets and documentation for the Help Desk team (via Confluence).· Involved with DR testing, reporting and update documentation. · Involved with planning and deploying projects such as office moves, software and hardware deployment. Lead teams of 1-2 for users in IMAC in head office.· Maintain, perform changes and evolve overall server environment and storage subsystems.· Create change requests tickets via Remedy, such as server patching, replace hardware or office moves.
