ONGC Petro Additions is a grass root integrated petrochemical entity coming up in Dahej SEZ. Worth $4 Billion, it is a joint venture of Oil & Natural Gas Corporation Limited, GSPC & GAIL.The complex will be producing 1.5 Million Metric Tones of polymers(.1MMT of HDPE/LLDPA and 0.4MMT of PP ) and 0.5 Million Metric Tones of Chemicals mainly Butadiene (115KTA), Benzene (150KTA), PYGAS (170KTA) and CBFS (70KTA)Plan, guide and manage end to end marketing / sales operations including strategies for domestic and overseas markets. Take complete ownership of promoting the new brand ‘OPal’ while acting as a key point for customer interface.Scout & interact with strategic investors. Deal with bankers, lenders / FI’s and international consultants on issues relating to marketing and finance. Identify & select product downstream technology licensors

Handling International Logistics for exports of polymer products to the tune of 1 MMtPA.

 Credential of developing 1 MMT a year product placement road map in exports market. Achieved one million tons of PP sales in a short span of 4 years. Pivotal in ensuring drop in average lead time by 3 days for order servicing.  Effectively implemented cost saving measures such as optimization of production facilities at various sites.  Designed a unique ‘Sea Bulk Liner’ bags saving cost by $80 per bag. Distinction of handling product volume of almost 4, 50,000 MT.  Instrumental in restricting import of polymers and facilitated capacity creation.  Profitably reviewed manufacturing inputs like additives, chemicals and catalyst to name a few.  Managed & ensured optimum customer services for over 800 customers.

Notable tasks accomplished across career spanning almost two & half decades include:Continuously liaised with plants, marketing groups, country offices, shipping lines, transporters & port authorities and supervised shipping lines to ensure effective dispatch of cargos across the globe (volume handled: 4,50, 000MT). Managed the Container Filling Stations (CFS) at ports while monitoring inventories & CHA’s performance at country warehouses. Negotiated & supervised freight contracts with the shipping lines. Chose right packaging requirements. Established and handled the overall marketing & sales operations for the entire West Africa including supply chain. Explored business opportunities by employing effective / innovative strategies and policies.Competently interacted with global investors to attract investments in African countries. Took end-to-end responsibility of exports for African, European and Asian countries. Efficiently coordinated with the production department, polymer manufacturers & regional offices aimed at better business development activities and profitability. Made continuous efforts to replace traditional materials with plastics. Spearheaded a team of 18 Sales Executives & 12 Commercial Executives and managed sales operations for polypropylene in the Western Region. Administered development activities like tech services and grade approvals. Handled sales of low-density polyethylene and organic solvents by Oswal Petrochemicals.
