About Mari Makkonen

I am currently working as a math teacher in Riihimäki's High School but I am also a professional electricity market specialist with capability of learn new things quickly also under hard pressure. My special fields of knowledge are the wholesale electricity markets; transmission network investments, power exchange and electricity trading. On the other hand, I am interested learning new things, especially about energy efficiency, demand side management and RES. I have worked previously as a researcher and project manager at Lappeenranta Universtity of Technology. In addition, I have taught in several courses at university (e.g. Power exchange game, Electricity markets and Electricity trade) both in Finnish and in English.
