As part of Omdia’s memory and storage team, Makoto is responsible for providing research, analysis, and forecasting of DRAM and NAND memory for mobile and embedded applications, as well as providing coverage of the NOR flash market. Makoto’s main research focus is on memory in smartphones. Additionally, Makoto monitors and reports on raw silicon.

Makoto held project manager roles on the Forecasting and Data Analysis team for the past 2+ years. Successfully led/managed/built/launched multiple products including smartphone, mobile PC (notebook & tablet), and desktop monitor’s model.

Makoto held data manager roles on the Forecasting and Data Analysis team for the past 4+ years. Responsible for over 35 reports with a focus on display while ensuring on-time delivery. Successfully built/launched/organized/maintained and report on industry dynamics and market data. Standardized and optimized processes, identifying and implementing quality.

• Responsible for performing market analysis to develop model competitiveness reviews that identify emerging trends and develop business strategies to take advantage of opportunities.Accomplishment:
• Provided the management team a regular review and analysis of TV sales by customer, category, and SKU to identify and communicate key performance indicators, make assortment recommendations, provide product placement.
• Provided detailed analysis of the TV industry to help drive future strategic plans to support $2 billion US TV business through the analysis of sales, inventory, and returns.
