04/2019 to 02/2020 - Working in UNPOL MHQ Internal Evaluation Unit as UNPOL Best Practices Officer. The BPO duties were as mentioned but not limited to: Promote and facilitate organization learning and the sharing of knowledge within the mission and between other missions as well as UN Headquarters, promote the active use of the DPO knowledge sharing tools and systems, initiate and coordinate outreach activities, conduct training workshops, seminars, etc.; ensure that smooth handover for positions is being done to enforce continuity of the activities.08/2018 - 04/2019 - UNPOL Operations Officer in Bentiu field office. UNPOL Operations officer was responsible for planning and coordinating operational activities in the UNPOL Bentiu field office (motorized and foot patrols, search operations, security incidents assessment, compiling Daily situation reports, flash reports and monthly/quarterly reports, supporting personnel on the ground and advising them on complex issues, compiling contingency plans and organising field training exercises and checking the clerical work etc); liaise with other components (Formed Police Unit, civilians, military, corrections, UN security) on behalf of PoC Coordinator when requested by supervisors.02/2018 - 08/2018 - UNPOL Patrol Officer in Protection of Civilians site in Bentiu and was performing the mentioned duties which are not limited to public order management in the IDP camp, dealing with safety and security issues; ensure effective safety and security of IDPs by conducting scheduled patrol duties; monitoring any type of Human Rights violation and reporting it to the relevant authority; community engagement with community leaders, youth, women, church groups and others; facilitating community involvement in security and law enforcement through Community Relations Committees; writing clear and lucid reports on daily activities; protection of UN property and preventing its vandalism in the UNMISS camps.
