As part of the leadership team, I worked with the executive and Board to develop strategy, and implement business plans.In order to continue steady growth, we needed to look outside our core business of servicing financial clients and towards new industries. The end result was Dome, a cloud-based financial management tool for the hospitality industry and a business intelligence reporting tool for retailers. As part of a strategic steering committee, I was involved in Dome and the reporting tool since their inception.Although these tools were a key focus over a number of years, I also negotiated, implemented and managed multiple contracts with the big 4 banks, other major financial institutions and a large retailer.While in this role, I oversaw productivity improvements across the company and an increase in employee engagement.

Company SecretaryI started myBUY Finance in June 2005 with two colleagues. I was initially the start-up’s Project Manager, and rapidly took on other roles as the business grew. I moved through the roles of Operations Manager to Financial Controller including Company Secretary.It was career highlight to be involved in a new consumer finance company, which soon grew significantly over the 4 years. Early on I was responsible for designing loan documentation and setting requirements and specifications for loan systems and project managing the implementation. I then moved into positions in the day-to-day running of the company.myBUY Finance was purchased by Once Credit in June 2008.

My career in Finance began at IBM, as Korean Inventory Accountant. During the next 9 years, I was employed in various roles in the organisation, culminating in 2003 as the A/NZ Senior Finance Manager.Highlights include managing the relocation of the Korean accounting team from IBM Australia to IBM Malaysia; backfilling the Asia Pacific Consolidation Planners role in Japan so as to ensure all financial reporting to AP and US management was completed in full on time; and developing a new budget and forecast tool for planners to use when constructing their budgets and forecasts together with their General Managers.
