We are currently inspecting and repackaging ammo that was returned from Iraq during the 2011 draw down. I altered the inspection process for the drawdown, which eliminated 5-6 years and saves approx $50 million. I provide guidance to a crew of QA personnel on matters of quality, explosives safety, shipping, storage. I serve as the Admin leader for QA andpreviously as the night supervisor for the GS-11 QASAS over the TARF's. I am responsible for quality and safety of ammunition repaired/restored and placed back in serviceable accounts. My crew and myself perform Quality inspections on a variety of ammunition, rockets and missiles, including Patriot Missile systems. I serve as subject matter expert on all explosives issues from transportation, storage, inspection, demil, safety, quantity/distance. Responsible for ammunition/explosives stored at Arifjan/Al Jalail, Kuwait. Serves as lead QASAS in charge of matters of storage, inspection, quality assurance, safety, transportation of ammunition and explosives. Renders advice on matters of compatibility. Performs inspections at site of ammunition malfunctions throughout Kuwait. I currently possess a secret clearance. I have completed DAU Level I classes and all classes needed for Level II & III minus the 2 TDY classes.

I am responsible for locating and tracking samples for ASRP(Ammunition Stockpile Reliability Program), and Malfunction Investigations testing for QAE division tests. These tests are for quality and reliability of ammunition stockpile. I arrange for these samples to be taken from stocks and set aside by changing Condition Code. Once the test is awarded I arrange for the shipping of these items to testing facility. I will research for Using units trying to obtain a temporary extension of Shelf/Service life for CADS/PADS installed in aircraft. I provide technical advice for selection of location to ship from as well as shipping methods. I also provide technical advice for the CAD/PAD program as well as shipping of these items. This is to provide guidance to extend shelf/service life of CAD/PADs. ASRP testing is to provide reliability date based upon testing different stratifications of ammunition production. During my time at Rock Island I was deployed to Balad, Iraq June 26 2011 to Oct 28 2011. I was leader of 5 other QASAS tasked with closure of Balad. We closed Balad 2 months ahead of schedule.

This was a GS-13 position that I was promoted into as a GS-12 while a new supervisor was found. 4 months later I was permenantly promoted to GS-12. I performed this function while supervising up to 40 personnel in the WG-6, WG-9, WL-9, GS-9 and GS-11 positions. I had to assign work to subordinates that included explanation of functions, goals and desired objectives. I initiated action to implement work procedures and methods. I maintained the budget while requesting additional funding to complete the mission of ammunition inspections. I also performed personnel management functions, attended EEO classes. I also was required to identify logistics requirements for required facilities, material, manpower and technical services. I developed training plans for QASAS interns. I participated in labor management relations . I was detailed to a Internal Team to develop Bluegrass Army Depots ISO 9001 Quality Manual for the Surveillance Division. I had to plan, coordinate and evaluate my actions required to support ammunition. I advised the Director on matters pertaining to inventory, transportation, distribution, planning, scheduling, quality assurance and various support functions. I was responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive logistics management program for the movement of ammunition. I was also selected to be the Internal Auditor for ISO 9001 purposes. Also during this time I completed all the online courses for DAIWIA Level II Certification even though our position does not require it. I am currently DAU Level I certified. I perform Quality Evaluations on subordinate personnel. I applied analytical methods for the 124-Report by gathering data from a variety of sources to determine and analyze operating costs and apply for funding.
