Space and science in general really have been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. In my free time, I love to watch science videos explaining theory, new discoveries and observations, so it only makes sense to just learn it in the classroom to make it a career! I love to learn and stimulate my mind. Doing so gives my spirit vitality.In high school, I was the first chair tuba player. Band was one of the greatest experiences of my life. It taught me how to work as a unit in harmony with others and pay greater attention to detail, not to mention the leadership needed for being first chair in a highly competitive division of bands. In my junior year of high school, I took a physics class which cemented which field of science I would pursue. History is a close second for my favorite subject. It humbles me to understand that we are all enjoying the shade of the trees those before us planted. Both my parents have noted that when it comes to something I care about, I put in all I've got and nothing less. I realize the importance that computer science has in my career field; I am in the process of learning Javascript, Python and other starter programming languages to expand the relevant skill set. I am empathetic. Through that asset I enjoy picking others' brains to potentially gain new perspective, as there is something to learn from every interaction. I also find that the importance of building rapport cannot be overstated and is essential in any situation. An internship under the wings of greatness at NASA is my goal.
