Corporate career in the Pharmaceutical industry with Glaxo, Rhone Poulenc Rorer and Aventis Pharma in Procurement and the Supply Chain led into consulting on business transformation, supply chain strategy and operational excellence with Morgan Smith Limited, a practice which Malcolm co-founded. A lifelong passion for endurance sport was reignited in the late 90's through Masters cycle racing. Progressively demanding personal goals opened up extensive travelling to compete on the world stage. Experiencing the exhilaration of Masters and Amateurs racing at the highest levels overseas it was recognised that sport cyclists in the UK were missing out on wonderful opportunities.A chance encounter in the most unlikely circumstances with an equally motivated individual led to the establishment of a Sports Marketing and Consultancy company which secured a license to promote a UCI World Cycling Tour event in the UK, in Peterborough. The Tour of Cambridgeshire was born in 2015 attracting over 7000 participants [tourofcambridgeshire.com] in its inaugural year.The emergence of the Gravel cycling scene post Covid led to the formation of Red On Sports ' Endurance Masters' and a portfolio of properties including The Gralloch (UCI Gravel World Series), Kings Cup Gravel, Festival (British Gravel Championships) and Raiders Gravel a 4 day stage race (and ride) in the Galloway Forest.
