This involves testing and validation carried out on engine dynamometer, in vehicle test laboratories and in-territory testing in extreme environments around the world. Lead Calibration Engineer on Ford aftermarket performance upgrade projects, responsible for managing calibration development and delivery for current and future high performance vehicle programmes, in partnership with an external tuning organisation.

I have recently completed a Postgraduate Masters in Automotive Product Engineering at Cranfield University. This is a 12 Month intensive course at one of the most recognised centres for Automotive Engineering education in the World, covering aspects of Automotive Engineering from Engine development, hybridization, crashworthiness, and structures, to vehicle dynamics, ride & handling and Control systems

The Pleasance operates as the largest and busiest venue in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, with 7 Bars, 5 food outlets & 14 performance stages, with a 3000 person capacity. Responsibilities included stock distribution, supervising a team of 26 venue staff, maintaining Health & Safety practices, waste management, money handling & rota organisation. I was also part of a small team returning the venue to its term-time operations after the festival, de-constructing, de-stocking and re-organising the premises. This job required a high level of organisational and inter-personal skills.

Working for this Engineering Consultancy firm, I spent 6 months in the Vehicle Emissions Lab, gaining experience with legislative testing procedures, emissions equipment and vehicles from major and minor OEMs. The following 6 months were spent in the engineering office, involved in Project Management of several vehicle testing programmes, as assistant Project Manager for the VCA `In-Service Emissions' programme, and Project Manager for VCA Regulation 103 `Aftermarket Catalytic Converter Approval' . Main duties included designing test schedules, supervising emissions tests, carrying out track based testing, analysing, validating & processing results, dealing with clients and writing reports.
