Surveys include creating scale floor plans, floor level and verticality surveys, invasive and non-invasive damage investigation, and reporting on both visible, discovered and implied damage. He also recommended and commissioned further Engineer inspections (e.g. structural and/or geotechnical), undertook and commissioned asbestos investigation and testing,undertook retaining wall surveys, and compiled all gathered information and authored reports so as to provide an overall assessment of all damage to the property and a full remediation strategy to repair the structure. Malcolm has over twelve years in the construction industry across the resources, training and project co-ordination space, in New Zealand and the UK. I tutored 'life-skills' courses to 16-18 year olds, and tutored/mentored graduates of the Army's Limited Service Volunteer (LSV) course into full time employment.I was also a Work Now co-ordinator, assessing onto the programme and then placing and mentoring ‘work ready’ students in unpaid work experience for 14 weeks, leading to paid employment in over 80% of students on the programme. At the same time I was the Apprentice co-ordinator for NZ Works, ensuring the cookery apprentices under the scheme, across Canterbury and Malborough, were achieving their study and employment goals.
