Designed and responsible for interagency shared services including infrastructure as a service, SAP, TRIM, and ESRI GIS for the Ministry of Police and Emergency Services and other high profile agencies. Successful in acquiring and maintaining the AS27001 Information Security certification for Fire. Introduced and led the cultural acceptance of the ITIL service management framework. Currently migrating 8,000 email accounts to Microsoft's Office 365 Exchange cloud in the USA. Upgrading current EMC storage arrays to virtual storage centres providing active/active DR. Automating the provisioning and de‐provisioning of staff user accounts and rights (systems and physical locations) using the HR system as the authority. Key member of Fire Fighter innovation group influencing design for satellite response, AVL and related technology in fire engines, 000 dispatch systems, geographic information systems and broadcast video technology. Streamlined the hosting environment by negotiating licensing and contracts to migrate from Novell NetWare to Microsoft and Linux. Designed and coded Fire & Rescue’s CMS Intranet and Remote Portal. Successfully connected all 330 NSW Fire Stations to the network. -
