Mālō e lelei! My name is Maliana Manu and I currently work as the People Partnering Coordinator within the People & Culture team at NZ Super Fund. I have graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Commerce Degree, where I majored in Human Resource Management and Psychology at the University of Otago. My career aspirations had sprung from the struggles and hardships faced by the people around me, whether that was family, friends or my community, I knew I wanted to pursue a career that would not only be helpful to them but to people in general. I began to ponder on whether there was a career out there that would allow me to ensure the care, value and protection of someone’s general health and well-being and by my second year in university, I was able to find the career path that fulfilled this. The work that HR professionals undertake for the sake of both the employees and the organisation really appealed to me which is why I decided to major in Human Resource Management and to study Psychology as further support in being equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to work in the HR field.I am passionate about HR and am fortunate enough to be working within an HR role where I aim to continuously learn and grow.
