Malik Smith, has a few years of hands on cybersecurity experience across several different facets including database management, automation development, and development and security operations on web applications. Mr. Smith was a Operations Security Engineer, supporting an application development and security effort, at ASM Research (ASMR). With ASMR he was contracted in their government health sector VA-EHRM Security Team, under the Cerner Corporation. Before joining ASMR, Mr. Smith work as an Cybersecurity Engineer consultant at one of the largest consultant firms in the country, Booz Allen Hamilton. There he assisted and created an automated tool to validate data requirements, populate specific components for data analysis, and secure radio propagated databases for DISA. He also support the United States Naval and Marine Corps with some vulnerability appliances on their newer larger systems using Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and technologies. Mr. Smith plans to gain more valuable experience to continue his prospering future within the Red, Blue, and Purple team operations of security. Currently, Mr. Smith works on the Secure Product & Infrastructure pod, AppSec Team, as an Application Security Engineer for Datavant.In addition, Mr. Smith is the Principal Vice President for Soft E Technology, LLC. Mr. Smith is a team advocate who has the responsibility for enhancement of technology services as well as professional growth.
