The highest volume increase was recorded. “Process Reengineering” In 2005 it was felt that the immense volume of Consumer Finances is overshadowing most of the man hours in the branches. Thus In order to meet the present day needs, It was decided that the bank should set off for “Process Reengineering”. It was shocking to note that thousands of accounts were left unattended by the branches and MISYS as well. The NPL of the Region was 20%. whereas the delinquency was in 34% accounts.Keeping in view the urgency and importance of the issue, a Mobile Recovery Unit (MRU), under my supervision, was formulated instantly. This team was assigned the task of recovery and individual targets were allocated. Their goal was bringing the percentage of NPL portfolio per branch to 3%. As on end of year, out of our 70 branches 55 branches were at the desired level, where as remaining 15 branches were being chased vigorously to meet the preferred level. The reduction in NPL in first year was 69.62%.
