Member of the City and County of San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors, representing District 2 which included the Presidio, Pacific Heights, Presidio Heights, Marina, Cow Hollow, Sea Cliff, Laurel Heights, Jordon Park and parts of Russian Hill. As a member of the Board my emphasis was on job growth and creation. Among my numerous accomplishments are the following:- Through passage of a Charter Amendment I established the first economic plan for San Francisco, required an economic analysis of legislation be performed on legislation before being allowed to vote and hired the City’s first economist. - Through Charter Amendment required qualifications for the Head of Disaster Management for the City and County of San Francisco. - Wrote and passed the first Film Rebate program in the state of California.- Required Sutter Health to rebuild and keep St. Luke’s Hospital in the Mission.- Fought against the Mayor, Board President, City Attorney and district Supervisor, and ultimately prevailed, in not rebuilding a new Murant fossil fuel burning Peaker Plant in the Bay View.- Oversaw the rebuilding of the Marina Yacht Harbor.- Established the creation of the Francisco Park in Russian Hill.- Aided in the rebuilding of the Booker T. Washington Community Center.- Passed legislation requiring the testing of all rape kits within 2 weeks.- Passed legislation regulating Cannabis Dispensaries.- Passed legislation outlawing smoking in parks and public sporting areas.* Partial list of accomplishments.
