Developed a maximum likelihood model to estimate ‘Time on Wing’—the time gap between two shop visits of aircraft engines for maintenance, repair, or overhaul, using Weibull distribution for a large U.S. based aircraft engine manufacturer. The results were integrated with the existing Shop Visit forecasting model and created a scope for more granular level of forecasting.
