In this role I was representing the Program/Asset Owner to deliver flood resilient ferry infrastructure projects to meet requirements for public transport in the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002. - I was the point of contact between the Program/Asset Owner, Ferry Infrastructure Program Board, Public and Active Transport Portfolio Board, ferry operations team and the project delivery team.- I provided professional advice to key stakeholders relating to ferry terminal upgrades as well as implementation of Council's River's Edge Strategy (i.e. River Access Network strategy)- I presented to the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) Accessibility Reference Group about the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 improvements made as part of the Ferry Terminal Upgrade Program to improve accessibility

Project Officer across two project teams to deliver flood resilient ferry infrastructure projects to meet requirements for public transport in the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002. During the 2014/15 Financial Year, we successfully delivered ten ferry terminal upgrades and one new ferry terminal totaling over $100M. Responsibilities included:- Completing QRA (Queensland Reconstruction Authority) submissions for reimbursement for Flood Damaged Ferry Terminals post-January 2011 Floods- Maintaining alignment and coordination across the two delivery teams - Organising and facilitating risk and lessons learned workshops- Forward planning (budget allocations and delivery strategies) for future ferry terminal upgradesWhilst supporting the ferry terminal upgrade program, I also completed my Practising Project Practitioner Certification with AIPM and managed other projects including:- West Regional Business Centre Kiosk ($200k) - project and contract management during design and fit-out - Manly Road Sports Park Stage 1 ($2M) - project and contract management during design and construction- Cathedral Square Landscape Refurbishment ($2M) - contract management

Every 6-12 months I rotated through different branches and divisions across Brisbane City Council following the completion of Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree. Some highlights from my time in the graduate program include:- Completing my Diploma of Project Management- Managing the Structure Management Database (SMDB) for Heavy Load (HV) and Excess Mass & Excess Dimension (EMED) applications, including working together with Asset Management to assess HV and EMED applications and develop the asset interface agreement with Queensland Rail- Assisting with visual inspections of Council’s structural assets following the January 2013 Floods- Assisting with asset handover and returned works from major projects including Eastern Busway Stage 2, Airport Link, Northern Busway Stage 2 and Translink Park ‘n’ Rides- The Airport Link Tunnel team was recognised for positively representing the division by placing importance on the value of Working Together. Five branches worked together across the division to successfully deliver the project. - Managing the review process of new major projects in design phase including Gateway Upgrade South and Miles Platting Road Upgrade

Some highlights of my cadetship program include:- Assist the project team to deliver the Gardens Point Road project between QUT and River Stage – shared pedestrian, bikeway, road- Assisting with flood recovery work (post January 2011 floods) including with QRA (Queensland Reconstruction Authority) submissions for reimbursement for creek remediation projects, soil sampling, project delivery and contaminated land reports- Successfully completed my university research project – managing leachate problem at a specific landfill site- Analysis of condition assessments for technical reports including asset rehabilitation submissions, Minor Capital Submissions and Asset Management Plans for Water Reclamation Plants across Brisbane - Provide outstanding customer service to local residents regarding council assets – footpaths, roads, stormwater pipes/gullies, fences, city cleanliness, water pressure, water meter accuracy and odour complaints.- Assisting in the management of the CCTV contract between Transpacific and Queensland Urban Utilities- Managing and commissioning of water quality projects for Brisbane Transport’s bus washes and a recycled water facility at Oxley Water Reclamation Plant- Assisted in the communications between Western Corridor and Water Distribution during the construction of their treatment plants and pipelines
